- Place chicken and all spices into the slow cooker.
- Pour broth over the chicken to barely cover it.
- Cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2.5-3.5 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
- Let the chicken rest in the juices for 10 minutes before shredding with two forks.
Notes
To keep the chicken moist, do not overcook and always add broth. For a variety of flavors, consider adding taco spices, lemon herbs, or using bone broth.
